Calculator Accuracy & Results

Are your calculator results guaranteed to be accurate?

No. CalculatorGarage outputs are estimates based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions stated for that tool. Real-world outcomes can change due to vehicle condition, modifications, tire wear, manufacturing variance, environment, pricing changes, taxes/fees, and regional rules.

Why does your result differ from my vehicle’s real-world measurement?

Common causes include incorrect inputs, unit mismatch, tire wear, rounding, manufacturer variation, non-stock parts, alignment settings, load, and measuring method. If the calculator is based on published specs, your vehicle may differ from those specs in practice.

What inputs matter most?

Usually the biggest drivers are tire size/diameter assumptions, wheel width/offset/backspacing, gearing ratios, drivetrain type, payload, and baseline price/fees/tax assumptions. Change one input at a time to see sensitivity.

Do you show formulas and assumptions?

Yes. Our goal is formula transparency: clearly defined inputs, unit clarity, and assumptions where estimates are required. If a calculator page includes a formula section, use that as the source of truth for how the result is produced.

How often are calculators updated?

Tools may be updated as data changes, standards evolve, or improvements are released. Market prices, taxes, fees, and manufacturer specs can change over time. Always verify results against current information when making decisions.

Can I rely on your calculators for legal, tax, financing, or safety decisions?

No. Use calculators for decision-support only. For high-stakes decisions, verify with a qualified professional (CPA for taxes/finance, licensed mechanic/engineer for automotive safety/fitment, attorney for legal issues, etc.).

Ads, Affiliates & Monetization

Do you run ads on CalculatorGarage?

Yes. We may display ads served by Google and other third-party advertising networks. Ads may use cookies or similar technologies depending on your settings and browser controls. We do not control advertiser claims or third-party site behavior.

Do you use affiliate links?

Yes. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you click and take an action (such as a purchase) at no additional cost to you. This helps fund tools and site operations.

Amazon disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

Does compensation affect your opinions or rankings?

We strive for accuracy and usefulness. Some content placement may be influenced by monetization, sponsorships, or partnerships. When material connections exist, we aim to disclose them clearly. Users should always do independent research before purchasing or installing parts.

Do you guarantee products, prices, or availability?

No. We do not control third-party pricing, inventory, shipping, warranty terms, or performance claims. Verify directly with the seller/manufacturer.

Email, SMS & Notifications

Will you email me marketing offers?

If you opt in, we may send promotional, sponsored, affiliate, or informational emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email. Email delivery is not guaranteed and may be filtered by providers.

What is the SMS request line used for?

The SMS line is for incoming requests only: 217-919-5111. It does not accept calls and does not guarantee replies. If we ever implement outbound marketing texts, you may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Carrier rates may apply and message delivery depends on carriers.

Do you have app-like (PWA) notifications?

If you install CalculatorGarage.com as a Progressive Web App (PWA), the site may behave like an app depending on your browser/device. Some content may be cached and updates may not appear until refreshed. Device and browser differences can affect functionality.
